About
London Tours
To get the most from your visit to London why not explore with your own private guide? Whether travelling alone or in a group of friends or with family I can tailor your tour to suit your interests.
London-based tours can be within the CITY OF LONDON that is now the financial centre of the UK reflecting the trading heritage that London was built upon since the Romans landed here 2000 years ago. Explore how the Great Fire of London of 1666 destroyed almost the entire city and witness some of the amazing Churches, including the magnificent St Paul's Cathedral, rebuilt after the fire by England's finest architect of the period Sir Christopher Wren.
A day in the city wouldn't be complete without spending some time at the Tower of London, the site of famous executions with stories of intrigue, romance and murder as well as being the home to the fabulous Crown Jewels.
Take a tour in the CITY OF WESTMINSTER and explore the heart of Government and Royalty. Soak up the sights of Buckingham Palace, the London home of the Queen, the much older St James's Palace (the former home of the infamous King Henry VIII). Spend time in Westminster Abbey where almost all of our Kings and Queens were crowned, some were married and many also buried.Stand and reflect for a moment at the tomb of the unknown warrior before heading out and seeing the Houses of Parliament next door. A short stroll away is the home of our Prime Minister, Number 10 Downing Street, in the heart of Whitehall, the centre of government. Have lunch in a typical English Pub, spend some time in the nearby National Gallery overlooking Trafalgar Square or head over to the British Museum.
Tours outside London
There is so much to see and do outside of the capital city. As a blue badge guide I'm qualified to guide in Canterbury, home to the awe inspiring Canterbury Cathedral where Saint Thomas Becket was murdered in the 12th century.
The Georgian city of Bath with is famous Roman baths, the 5000 year old Stonehenge, and Windsor Castle, the "real" home of the Queen are a short distance from London.
Salisbury, Stratford upon Avon and Warwick Castle are also within easy reach along with the University towns of Cambridge and Oxford and quaint Cotswold villages. A day trip out of London makes a splendid break from the buzzing city streets. Tours outside of London require a full day but we don't compromise on comfort as day tours are taken in luxury vehicles.
